Your application process

3) Submit the application. Mind the timeline! 

Your admission and registration process follows these steps:

1. Submit your application
To apply, you submit your application and the required supporting documents to the Admission Officer, who will guide you through the process and support you with any questions along the way.

2. Application review
Your application is reviewed by the Program Committee to verify that you meet the eligibility requirements and that all required documents have been submitted.

3. Evaluation of the application file
The Committee evaluates your application file and supporting documentation, including your academic background and curriculum vitae.

4. Interview stage
Eligible applicants are invited to participate in an online oral interview conducted by members of the Program Committee.

5. Additional language assessment (if required)
In some admission rounds, a written English language assessment may also take place before the interview.

6. Final selection of candidates
After completing the evaluation process (application file, interview and possible language assessment), the Committee prepares the final list of admitted candidates and a list of runners-up.

7. Enrolment at the University
Successful applicants complete the enrolment process according to the instructions provided by the Program Secretariat.

  • High-school diploma from a recognised secondary school in Greece or abroad
  • Successful completion of secondary education with subjects including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
  • English language proficiency of at least B2 level from a recognised examination body
  • Participation in an online oral interview conducted by members of the Program Committee
  • Evaluation of the applicant’s academic background, qualifications and overall application file by the Program Committee
  • Demonstrated academic and personal readiness for university-level studies
  • General understanding of topics related to Materials Science and Engineering
  • Participation in an English language knowledge test, if required for the specific admission cycle
  • Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis according to the chronological order of submission
  • Additional qualifications such as IB, A-levels, AP, SAT, ACT or TSA scores are considered positively during evaluation

Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documents:

  • Copy of passport or national identity card
  • High-school diploma or secondary school leaving certificate (officially translated into English)
  • Official transcript of grades from the final year of secondary education (officially translated into English)
  • Proof of successful examination in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or equivalent subjects
  • Proof of English language proficiency at minimum B2 level
  • Motivation letter (up to 500 words) outlining:
    • interest in Materials Science and Engineering,
    • motivation for joining the programme,
    • and future academic or professional goals
  • Short curriculum vitae (CV) including studies, distinctions, volunteering activities or other relevant experience
  • Any additional supporting documents requested by the Program Committee
  • Original documents, if requested by the Programme Secretariat during the evaluation process

€8,000

per Academic Year

The total tuition fee for the Program is €40,000.

Tuition fees are paid in 10 instalments of €4,000, with the first instalment due during the enrolment process and the remaining instalments payable before the start of each semester.

Payments are made electronically to the Special Account for Research Funds of Aristotle University (ELKE AUTH) according to the instructions provided by the Program Secretariat.

Upon acceptance of an offer of a place on the Program, candidates are required to pay a deposit of €1,000, which is counted toward the tuition fees.
